Paya's Place: Helping People in Recovery Treatment with Pet Care

Paya's Place is a pet services organization that provides free pet fostering and boarding for those seeking residential recovery treatment. Founded after the inspiring story of a rescue dog named Paya, who walked 2,300 miles across Mexico, Paya's Place serves as a resource to help people in recovery find proper care for their pets so they can focus on their recovery journey.

    Cappy Needs Surgery

    Glaucoma is no fun.

    His pressure was very high in his left eye leading to him being labeled as "confrontational" by the vet. His glaucoma was so severe it could not be treated with drops and antibiotics


    Surgery Day

    We raised $630 on spotfund.com towards his vet bill which is over $1300 at this point. Our founder paid the balance herself. 

    Surgery was a Success!

    His eye was successfully removed making him much more comfortable and relieving his pain significantly. He is no longer "confrontational" as the vet called him. We think his attitude is just fine and always was.
